LETTUCE WRAPS
YOu will find lettuce wraps at many asian fusion type restaurants
While many people find them to be delicious, they normally contain meat and MSG. MSG is an excitotoxin, which is a toxin that literally drives cells to cell death. Don't worry! These lettuce wraps are vegan and free of MSG!
RECIPE
- Sautee 5 cloves of diced garlic and 1/4 cup of white onion (roughly chopped) in some coconut oil over LOW heat
- Once the onion become translucent, add 1/2 cup of Almonds (soaked for at least 20-60 minutes, then drained and roughly chopped), 1 cup of diced mushrooms, 2 tbls of coconut aminos, 1tsp of turmeric, 1tsp of paprika, about a half thumb of fresh finally chopped (or grated) ginger and finally, a dash of sea salt and pepper
- The idea here is to keep this filling as raw as possible, so do not over cook it
- Tip: Eating raw foods will provide your body more nutrients and increase your energy levels significantly!
- It's time to roll your wrap!
- Grab some Swiss Chard
- Next, add your "meat" to your Swiss Chard boats and top with Organic Corn & Sauerkraut.
